Deano in Action - Ipswich Town News

Town striker Dean Bowditch is in England U17s action this afternoon in Viseu in a European Championships semi-final against hosts Portugal.

Should England win they will face either Spain or Austria in Saturday's final, also in Viseu. If they lose they would be involved in the third/fourth place play-off Sta Comba Dao played the same day.

Bowditch has been involved in all England's games so far and has scored one goal. Tonight's match is live on Eurosport at 5pm.

Meanwhile fellow frontman Darren Bent has not been included in the England U21 squad for the game against Serbia and Montenegro at Hull City's Kingston Communications Stadium. Former Town midfielder Darren Ambrose is in the 22-man squad.

The Serbia and Montenegro game, June 2nd, is a warm-up for a European qualifier against Slovakia in Sunderland on June 10th. Both Bent and Ambrose made their U21 debuts in Italy in February.
