Naylor Staying - Ipswich Town News

As expected Town's striker-cum-defender Richard Naylor is set to sign his new one-year deal at Portman Road. Naylor is one of three current players offered new contracts.

Town's longest serving player had previously indicated that he would remain at Portman Road and has now confirmed that in princple he is happy with the new deal: "I'm delighted to be offered something by the club and pleased I'm still wanted. I will weigh up my options over the next few days but I imagine I will make my decision by next week.

"I have always wanted to stay and my initial reaction is to say yes but I will chat to my advisors and mull things over.

"I have enjoyed a new lease of life at the club under the new Gaffer and I'm enjoying the new position."

One-year contracts have also been offered to Fabian Wilnis and Jim Magilton. Wilnis has said he will sign while manager Joe Royle expects to keep Magilton for another year as well.
