Holland on Way Back - Ipswich Town News

Town skipper Matt Holland is set to return home after a training camp with Ireland. Holland and his international team-mates have been preparing for two important European Championship qualifiers in June.

The 29-year-old told the club site: "I'll be in Ireland until the weekend, return home for six or seven days before coming back again to Dublin a week before we play Albania on Saturday, June 7th and then Georgia on the following Wednesday."

Speculation regarding the midfielder's future has already started with a summer exit from Portman Road looking likely. The Blues are looking for a fee of £2 million, however they may be forced to accept a lot less due to the flat transfer market.

Should Holland, one of the club's top earners, leave Portman Road for more than the £800,000 paid to Bournemouth in the summer of 1997 then the Cherries would receive 25% of the profit.
