League Meeting Went Well - Ipswich Town News

Town chief executive Derek Bowden says that Wednesday's meeting with the Football League regarding the club's exit from administration went well.

Bowden and chairman David Sheepshanks met with the League to discuss the club's progress since creditors accepted the CVA in early May. The former Saatchi and Saatchi man says the League were impressed: "It was a good meeting where we took them through events of the past four weeks and showed what we have achieved so far in accordance to the business plan for the CVA.

"More importantly we were able to show them what next season would look like for us because they were focusing on whether we will be able to fulfil our fixtures next season and we took them through our plans for not just next season but the next four years.

"They were positively received by the League board and they told us they thought a lot of progress had been made.

"We are now waiting for their formal comments and to hear when we will be allowed our share back, and I'm confident we will be."

The club expects to exit administration at the end of next week with their share likely to be returned at the Football League board meeting on June 4th. That will see the transfer embargo lifted and Joe Royle begin to rebuild ahead of the new season.

Town have made 75 more debentures available with the scheme seemingly popular. Supporters wanting 10 or 20-year season tickets should contact the Ticket Office.

Season ticket sales have also gone well with 8,000 processed so far. The club are targeting 16,000 by the end of the discount period on May 30th.

Town are also aiming to raise more cash via a loan stock, however this figure will not be known until later in the summer.
