Club Deny Arsenal Game - Ipswich Town News

Town have denied a recent report which claimed that Arsenal would be the Blues pre-season opponents at Portman Road on Friday, August 1st. The Gunners are already set to play Celtic on August 2nd ruling out a visit to Suffolk.

Traditionally Town have hosted a continental side in the week prior to the season proper with Fiorentina, Celta Vigo and PSV amongst the previous visitors.

The Blues are still refusing to confirm the England versus Croatia full international which Portman Road will stage on Wednesday, August 20th.

The game has been widespread knowledge for some while and, despite the Croatian FA acknowledging it in November, neither the club nor the FA have as yet made an official announcement.
