Diallo on Town Move - Ipswich Town News

New Town signing Drissa Diallo has commented on his switch to Portman Road, citing Premiership ambitions as one reason behind his decision to move to the Blues.

The former Burnley and Mechelen man told the club site: "I am an ambitious player and want to play in the Premiership, that is why I decided to come here.

"Ipswich are ambitious as well. I know they want to be back in the Premiership and I was very impressed with what the manager here had to say about the team.

"He is very confident Ipswich can go up next season and hopefully I can play my part in making sure that happens."

Diallo has signed a two-year deal with the Blues. As he was out of contract he has not cost Town a fee.
