Quartet Could Win Caps - Ipswich Town News

Sasa Lukic, Dara O’Shea, Chieo Ogbene and Issa Diop could all add to their international caps later today.

Lukic’s Serbia will be aiming to end their pointless start to their UEFA Nations League campaign but face another tough test against the Netherlands in Eindhoven (KO 7.45pm, Amazon Prime). The Town midfielder has previously won 65 full caps, scoring twice.

Blues captain Dara O’Shea didn’t travel to Serbia with his teammates for the Republic of Ireland’s controversial behind-closed-doors Nations League tie with Israel as his wife was close to giving birth.

However, the 27-year-old was hoping to rejoin the squad, which he has captained throughout this international break, in time for the match (KO 7.45pm, Amazon Prime).

O’Shea has previously won 48 caps, while Town winger Ogbene, who is on loan at Lincoln for the season, has played 37 games for his country, scoring five goals.

Blues central defender Issa Diop looks set to win his 12th full international cap for Morocco when they host Mali in a friendly this evening (KO 7pm).

The game replaced a planned match against Abdul Fatawu’s Ghana, which was cancelled early in the week after a financial row between the Black Stars players and their FA.
