Joe Confirms Roberts Link - Ipswich Town News
Blues' boss Joe Royle has confirmed that released Charlton keeper Ben Roberts is a player he is considering as next season's Town number one.
Royle had been targeting Birmingham's Ian Bennett, however he is reportedly set to sign a new deal at St Andrew's, which means the keeper quest will continue: "Ben Roberts has been on my shortlist and we'll see about that, but Ian Bennett's decision simply means the search goes on.
"Suffice to say that I have contingency plans, but there is no need to rush it. I will be back [from holiday in Majorca] at the end of the month and we'll take it from there."
