Ambrose Hints At Loan - Ipswich Town News
Former Town midfielder Darren Ambrose has hinted that he might fancy a return to Portman Road on loan next season. Ambrose was sold cheaply by administrators Deloitte and Touche in March so that the Blues could pay their wage bill during April.
Ambrose says that he'd prefer a loan switch rather than stay in the Magpies' reserves: "I want to fight for my place at Newcastle and get first-team football. But if the manager feels he would like me to go on loan then we'll look at the situation again.
"Everybody knows I loved my time at Ipswich and a loan move back there is one option if they wanted me back.
"There has been talk of George Burley wanting me at Derby County as well, but we'll have to see whether that is the best option available or even if he would be interested."
