Grimsby keeper Danny Coyne is again being linked with Town despite Joe Royle recently saying he wasn't considering the Welshman. Elsewhere there is a report that Town are considering a Norwegian based stopper.
Coyne has a year left on his deal with the Mariners but has been offered a free transfer. A number reports recently claimed Town interest, however when asked about the 29-year-old, Joe Royle said: "We haven't made any overtures in that direction."
An Icelandic report claims Town have been watching their international number one keeper Arni Gautur Arason.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at Norwegian club Rosenborg where he has spent the season on the bench.
Until recently he was first choice and played a number of times in the Champions League, interesting a number of bigger clubs. However, he is yet to make an appearance in 2003.
Previously Arason was with Stjarnan and ÃA Akranes in his home country.
