Town Face Bilbao - Ipswich Town News
Spanish side Athletic Bilbao have been revealed as the Blues' final pre-season opposition ahead of their Division One campaign.
Athletic, beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid on Sunday, will be in Town on Friday, August 1st, a week prior to the start of the season proper. The Bilbao club finished seventh in La Liga this year.
The Spanish season starts later than the English leagues, so it is likely Town will be at a more progressed stage in their preparations when the sides meet.
Last year, the Blues beat Celta Vigo 2-1 in their final friendly.
