Games Set to Move - Ipswich Town News
Town's away game with Wigan Athletic is set to move due to a clash with a Wigan Warriors rugby league game set for the same day. The Warriors fixture with Bradford Bulls, like the Town game, is scheduled to be played at the JJB Stadium on the August 25th Bank Holiday Monday.
The rugby match is due to be covered live by Sky TV and so the Blues' first league visit to Wigan will move to the evening of Tuesday, August 26th.
The switch will not be welcomed by away fans who will now have to make the trip for an evening game rather than a 3pm kick-off. The fixture computer has already given thrown up an evening trip to Sunderland in September.
Also likely to be on the move are the two East Anglian derbies. The home game on December 20th and away trip on March 6th are both almost certain to be played a day later than their original dates on Sunday lunchtimes.
