Magilton Signs Deal - Ipswich Town News
As expected new Town captain Jim Magilton has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal. Magilton always looked likely to remain at Portman Road despite the expiry of his existing deal.
The Northern Irishman says he is happy to be staying: "There were a few things I had to discuss with Joe after the end of last season but I have always wanted to stay here and now I'm looking forward to the new campaign.
"I have played the best football of my career at Ipswich Town and with so many good players at the club and the promising youngsters coming through, the signs are good for the future here."
