Reserves in Action - Ipswich Town News

John McGreal, Matt Richards and Matt Bloomfield could all get back to action tomorrow when the reserves make a trip to Hadleigh for a friendly.

McGreal is still recovering from the knee problem he picked up towards the end of last season and will probably play the last 30 minutes of the game.

Richards has had a hamstring injury but is now on his way back to fitness.

Bloomfield is the least likely of the three to be involved and will be assessed on the day of the game. The young midfielder sustained a knee injury towards the end of last season.

Although Town have picked up a number of injuries on the tour of Scandinavia, none are throught to be anything more than the kind of strains and pulls expected at this time of year.

Jim Magilton sustained a hamstring injury in the first game at Mjällby and will have a precautionary scan. This is not expected to show a tear.

Tommy Miller, Aidan Collins and Drissa Diallo also suffered similar problems suring the tour but none are expected to be on the sidelines for long.

The only real concern from pre-season so far is Thomas Gaards¢e who will be out for around a month with the ankle injury picked up at Southend.
