Keeper Named Today? - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Joe Royle says he will release the name of the club's new keeper once the deal is done and dusted. Royle kept schtum on the player's identity throughout the tour despite several journalists plying him with potential names.

The stopper is understood to be English and playing at a club from outside the Premiership. A deal could be done as soon as today and the Blues' boss says more details will be known then: "We will release the name when the time is right and everything has been sorted out."

Royle will meet with the player today to finalise the deal but he has seemed confident that it is done in all but the fine detail. He will hope that the new man will be installed in time for the match at Colchester on Saturday.
