Trust Comments - Ipswich Town News
The newly-formed Ipswich Town Independent Supporters Trust, Ipswich Town First, has commented on the controversy surrounding the potential transfer of Thomas Gaardsøe to West Brom.
The last couple of days have seen fans increasingly angry at the popular Dane's proposed move to the Hawthorns.
Ipswich Town First says that the club needs to outline its current position in the light of recent transfer developments: "The Trust feels that fans would like clarification of the current financial situation at Portman Road.
"There is a certain amount of confusion among supporters regarding the present situation; the requirements of the CVA and the effect the sales of Matt Holland and Matteo Sereni have had on the overall financial picture.
"There is clearly surprise in some quarters that the club might consider selling another top name, hence the need for clarification."
The Trust (www.ipswichtownfirst.co.uk) was launched on July 10th at the Novotel with the support of ex-players including Kevin Beattie, John Wark, Jason Cundy, James Scowcroft, Roger Osborne and Laurie Sivell.
