Burley Pleased - Ipswich Town News
Town manager George Burley has said he was pleased with Town's performance on Saturday despite the 3-1 defeat: "Over all I was pleased with the performance. I don't think 3-1 reflected the difference between the teams. The team worked very hard but a couple of individual mistakes cost us three points."
The Town manager went on to praise David Johnson for his performance and Hermann Hreidarsson for being solid at the back despite the briefness of his acquaintance with his defensive partners.
Town have a couple of injury worries from Saturday. Mark Venus went off with cramp as well as a recurrence of pain in his ankle, while his replacement Wayne Brown has a sore groin. Venus, however is likely to be fit for Tuesday. John Scales will face a fitness test today on his thigh strain, but is seen as an outsider for the visit of Manchester United.
