Reserves Action at Bury - Ipswich Town News

A Town reserves side is in action on Saturday evening against Bury Town at Ram Meadow in Trevor Collins' testimonial (KO 6pm). Collins, a stalwart of the West Suffolk club, is a lifelong Town fan.

With Joe Royle only using one of his subs during Friday night's friendly with Levski Sofia, one or two of the more senior players are likely to get a run out.

John McGreal and Matt Bloomfield will continue their comebacks after their knee ligament injuries while the likes of Alun Armstrong, Dean Bowditch and Martijn Reuser will all be lookng to increase their fitness levels ahead of the start of the season.

Probable squad: Marshall, Price, Mitchell, McGreal, Nash, Collins, Hogg, Okay, Murray, Bloomfield, Westlake, Wright, Kamara, Abidallah, Barron, Reuser, Armstrong and Bowditch.

Free transfer-listed goalkeeper James Pullen has joined Dagenham and Redbridge on a three-month loan. The ball-handler spent a short spell on trial with the Daggers during July.

Pullen was given a free transfer by Joe Royle at the end of the season along with Andy Marshall. The Blues have still not received any serious interest in the former England U21.
