Matt Saints Link Again - Ipswich Town News

Town youngster Matt Richards is again being linked with a move to Southampton in Sunday's tabloids. The left-back came on as a sub for the Blues in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Reading.

Town turned down a £3 million bid from Gordon Strachan's club for the 18-year-old and Darren Bent earlier in the summer, the pair signing extended Portman Road deals not long afterwards.

If there is any truth in the reports it will be a good test of Town's improved bargaining position since the controversial £500,000 transfer of Thomas Gaardsøe to West Bromwich Albion.
