Santos Misses Training - Ipswich Town News

Midfielder Georges Santos was the only Town player to miss out on training yesterday. The Frenchman, booked extremely harshly at Crewe on Saturday, had a tight hamstring.

Better news is that John McGreal was back training with the first team after the knee ligament injury which forced him to miss the end of last season.

McGreal, along with Alun Armstrong and Jermaine Wright, will be involved in tomorrow afternoon's reserves game at the Training Centre against Southampton. The former Tranmere man is around a month away from being back in first team action.

Town boss Joe Royle is also on the injury list at present, missing training on Monday with a hip injury. Royle will be a guest of Sky Sports on Wednesday when they cover the England-Croatia international live.
