Sven Hints at Side - Ipswich Town News

England head coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has given a hint of the side he'll field at Portman Road against Croatia on Wednesday (KO 8pm).

West Ham keeper David James will start in goal but is likely to be replaced by either Paul Robinson or Chris Kirkland at half-time.

With Sol Campbell, Owen Hargreaves and Jonathan Woodgate both out with injury Chelsea's John Terry will make his first England start.

Skipper David Beckham looks set to start while Michael Owen will almost certainly be in the first XI with either James Beattie or Emile Heskey alongside him.

Eriksson says he will not be making the wholesale substitutions which marred the friendly with Australia last season.

Revised squad: David James - West Ham United, Paul Robinson - Leeds United, Chris Kirkland - Liverpool, Phil Neville - Manchester United, Danny Mills - Leeds United, Wayne Bridge - Chelsea, Ashley Cole - Arsenal, Rio Ferdinand - Manchester United, Matthew Upson - Birmingham City, John Terry - Chelsea, David Beckham - Real Madrid, Joe Cole - Chelsea, Steven Gerrard - Liverpool, Frank Lampard - Chelsea, Paul Scholes - Manchester United, Nicky Butt - Manchester United, Trevor Sinclair - Manchester City, Danny Murphy - Liverpool, Kieron Dyer - Newcastle United, James Beattie - Southampton, Michael Owen - Liverpool and Emile Heskey - Liverpool.
