No Firm Bent Offer - Joe - Ipswich Town News
Town manager Joe Royle has revealed that as yet there has been no firm offer from either of the Premiership sides interested in Marcus Bent. The two sides, believed to be Leeds and Fulham, made enquiries regarding the striker towards the end of last week with talks taking place over the weekend.
The Blues' boss told the club site: "We have had two Premiership clubs show an interest in Marcus and there have been talks.
"There is a possibility he could move on but there has been no concrete offer made to the club.
"We will have to see how it works out. I left him out against West Ham to protect his health but we need to relieve the wage bill before we can bring anyone else in."
Premiership clubs have until Monday to complete deals before the transfer window closes.
