Bent on Foxes Move - Ipswich Town News
Striker Marcus Bent has commented on his loan switch to Leicester City. Bent agreed to join the Foxes for the rest of the season this afternoon.
Bent told the club site he is looking forward to being back in the top flight: "It's an exciting challenge for me, being back in the Premiership with Leicester and proving I can compete at that level.
"I am sorry to be leaving Ipswich at this time but I understand the financial situation at the club and reasons behind the loan move."
Leicester boss Micky Adams says he had two targets: "We were looking to bring in a striker and made enquiries about two players over the weekend.
"It was not a case of having either a first choice or a second choice but we wanted to speak to both before making a final decision.
"Marcus demonstrated his desire immediately to come and play for Leicester City and have another crack at the Premiership.
"It's a good signing for us and adds competition to places in our squad which is what we are looking for."
Bent will be Leicester's number 38, the shirt number he wore in his first season with Town.
