Lisbie Linked - Ipswich Town News
Charlton striker Kevin Lisbie is the latest striker being linked with a loan spell at Town. The pacy front man is set to leave the Valley after being told he is not required by manager Alan Curbishley.
While Joe Royle is definitely after a striker on loan, he seems keener on bringing in a big target man in the Duncan Ferguson mould rather than a smaller player.
Royle is set to make further attempts to sign Ferguson this week while TWTD understands that Geoff Horsfield was the striker the Town boss had lined-up to join on a short-term basis prior to Premiership deadline day.
With Horsfield set to sign for the Blues on loan, Wigan stepped in and took the former Birmingham striker to the JJB Stadium on a permanent basis, the former Fulham man preferring a longer term deal to a loan.
