Bart Back in Fortnight? - Ipswich Town News

Town could lose another player in a fortnight's time with Charlton looking unlikely to extend Chris Bart-Williams' loan spell. The Blues currently have a lengthy injury list and were forced to field a number of academy players at Nots County on Tuesday.

Charlton themselves have similar problems, Alan Curbishley commenting on their situation after their Carling Cup win over Luton: "Tuesday night showed how stretched we are at the moment. Some players looked really tired."

Town's problems were exacerbated in their match on Tuesday when Alan Mahon and Matt Richards picked up injuries. Richards is all but certain to be OK for the trip to Watford after receiving a blow to the face while Mahon will have a scan on his injury.

He has a strain in the thigh/groin area and is rated 50/50 for the visit to Vicarage Road.

Darren Bent is receiving treatment on his medial ligament injury and will not be ruled out until Saturday morning.

Blues' boss Joe Royle missed the entertainment-free reserves game against Wimbledon last night in order to watch one of his new loan targets in action.

Royle and chief scout Colin Suggett have listed a number of potential loanees who they may bring in ahead of the weekend.
