Arsenal Defender Linked - Ipswich Town News
Town are being linked with Arsenal reserve Stathis Tavlaridis. The Greek central defender was in action for the Gunners' second string against Town in early September.
The 23-year-old is on the fringes of the Arsenal first team and if the report is true and there is Town interest, the current disciplinary row may cause Arsene Wenger to think twice before allowing the former Elpida Provata and Iraklis Saloniki player leave.
Tavlaridis has made two full appearances for Wenger's side, one in the Worthington Cup last season against Sunderland and the second in Arsenal's final league game of 2002/03 at home to Southampton. He also had a spell on loan with Portsmouth last season.
