Bent Set to Miss Out - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Darren Bent will miss next weekend's clash at Bradford City even if he recovers from the knee injury he picked up in the defeat at Sunderland last week. Bent has been called up to the England U21s for their match in Turkey on Friday.
The 19-year-old has anterior ligament damage and was not included in the side which beat Rotherham at the weekend.
Despite the knock Bent is included in the England U21 squad which Joe Royle says will mean he misses the Bradford game even if he is fit: "Darren was meant to join up with England this week but he is still struggling with a knee injury.
"We will have to see what happens there but either way we will be without him on Saturday."
Finnish international Shefki Kuqi will be with Town at Bradford despite being a regular in his nation's squad. He asked if he could remain with the Blues and not be involved in their friendly with Canada.
