Makin Comeback Blow - Ipswich Town News

Full-back Chris Makin's return to action in the reserves lasted just 28 minutes as he hobbled off as the Town second string lost 3-0 at home to Charlton Athletic.

Makin felt a twinge from the thigh muscle which he recently tore and will hope he hasn't done the injury too much damage.

Midfielder Tommy Miller lasted until half-time when he was replaced as a precaution but there was more bad news on the injury front when central defender Aidan Collins was stretchered off after turning an ankle.

The Addicks went ahead early on from the penalty spot, former Town trialist Jonatan Johansson converting after a foul on Lloyd Sam by Erkan Okay.

Johansson netted again before the break with Osei Sankofa notching the third goal for the experienced visitors who also included Radostin Kishishev in their side.

Town: Price, Mitchell, Makin (Atay 28), Murray, Collins (Okay 12), Nash, Bloomfield, Miller (Abidallah 46), Armstrong, Bowditch and Westlake.
