Sub Bent On In U21 Loss - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Darren Bent came off the bench in the closing stages of the England U21s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Turkey.
A goal from Sonkaya in the first minute won the game for the home side. England also had Chelsea's Glen Johnson sent off for two bookable offences shortly after Bent was introduced.
Earlier in the week Bent, who missed Town's 2-1 win against Rotherham last week with a knee injury, hurt an ankle and was expected to be sent home. However, the knock was not as bad as first thought.
Former Town star Darren Ambrose was also on the bench but failed to make an appearance.
