Academy striker Daryl Knights was in the England U16s side which beat Northern Ireland 4-0 at Rushden on Friday night.
The England side dominated thoughout with Knights, in a wide left role, playing a prominent part and coming close to a goal when he headed over in the second half.
The England goals came via Hogan Ephraim (West Ham), Scott Phelan (Everton), Lewis McGugan (Nottingham Forest) and Micah Richards (Manchester City).
The England U16s comtinue their defence of the Victory Shield when they face Wales at Gillingham on October 31st and travel to Hampden Park to meet Scotland on November 28th.
