Late Fitness Test for Jim - Ipswich Town News
Blues' skipper Jim Magilton will face a fitness test shortly before Town's game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening (KO 8pm). The midfielder's calf is less swollen than earlier in the week.
Town are hopeful Magilton will be OK after missing the second half of the 1-0 win against Stoke on Saturday.
The Blues will learn the extent of the damage to Alan Mahon's hamstring injury later today. Initial opinion was that he had torn the muscle and would be out for between five and six weeks.
Ian Westlake will take his place at Palace this evening with Tommy Miller on standy-by to take Magilton's midfield spot should the Northern Irishman fail to make it.
Squad: Armstrong, Bart-Williams, Bloomfield, Bowditch, Couñago, Davis, Kuqi, Magilton, Miller, Nash, Naylor, Price, Richards, Santos, Westlake, Wilnis and Wright.
