New Bid by Burley - Ipswich Town News
Town manager George Burley is reported to have slapped in another player bid as he continues his seemingly endless search for players to strengthen the Town squad.
The latest player is described as a foreign defender and speculation will inevitably lead to the suggestion that the player is former Town star Mauricio Taricco.
All the Town manager will say at the moment is: "We are continuing to try to strengthen our squad and we have various irons in the fire.
"There is one bid in for a foreign defender. It was put in this week and we are hopeful that it will be successful. We are looking to strengthen in a couple of areas and if we are not successful in one we will try for another."
He added that he is likely to find out whether this bid is successful by the end of the week.
