Reserves Face Hornets - Ipswich Town News

Town's reserves are in action at Watford this evening with a number of senior players in Steve McCall's squad (Vicarage Road, 7pm).

Martijn Reuser, Tommy Miller and John McGreal will all aim to come through the game unscathed after recent injuries.

McGreal could come into Joe Royle's plans for next week's trip to Derby when Richard Naylor and Charis Bart-Williams are suspended for reaching five bookings.

Miller will also be targeting a start at Pride Park after sub appearances at Crystal Palace and Preston.

Reuser is still a few weeks off being considered for the first team.

The addition of those three gives the reserves an unusually experienced look, although the majority of Town players involved will be academy players with schoolboys Fraser Beveridge and Darryl Knights both likely to be on the bench.

Knights is also expected to be in action for the England U16s on Friday evening in their Victory Shield game against Wales at Gillingham (Sky Sports One, 7.30pm).

Reserves: Price, Mitchell, Barron, Murray, McGreal, Nash, Abidallah, Bloomfield, Miller, Flack, Peat, Beveridge, Craig, Knights.
