McGreal in Squad - Ipswich Town News

Central defender John McGreal is in the Town squad for the first time this season for Saturday's home game against Gillingham.

McGreal injured knee ligaments at Brighton last season and never really got back to full fitness despite a short-lived return to action early in 2003.

Back in August a hamstring injury halted his progress before a back injury intervened. However, the former Tranmere man has come through two recent reserves games unscathed and could be set for a recall next week when the Blues travel to Derby without the suspended Chris Bart-Williams and Richard Naylor.

McGreal will be on the bench against the Gills with the starting eleven unchanged from last week's draw at Preston.

Squad: Bart-Williams, Bowditch, Couñago, Davis, Kuqi, Magilton, McGreal, Miller, Nash, Naylor, Price, Richards, Santos, Westlake, Wilnis and Wright.
