Sereni Faces Chelsea - Ipswich Town News

Former Town keeper Matteo Sereni will be in action for his Lazio side against Chelsea this evening in the Champions League. Sereni left the Blues on a free in the summer although Town will receive 50% of any sell-on and the Rome are set for two Portman Road friendlies.

Sereni came into the Lazio side for their 2-1 away win against Udinese on Saturday after first choice Angelo Peruzzi picked up an injury.

Another ex-Town player in the news is Thomas Gaardsøe who has been given his first senior Danish call-up for the friendly with England.

Gaardsøe, who joined West Brom from the Blues for £500,000 in the summer, won 10 Danish U21 caps between 1998 and 2001.
