Finidi Back to Mallorca? - Ipswich Town News

Released Town midfielder Finidi George could be on his way back to Spanish side Real Mallorca. The former Nigerian international left Portman Road in the summer after he and the club agreed a £1 million settlement of his contract, payable over the next 18 months.

Mallorca coach Luis Aragonés is in talks with the former Ajax winger and says he is a player he rates: "I like Finidi. He hasn't played for a long time, but he also hasn't put on weight and has been training on his own.

"But it may be difficult for him because he hasn't played for six months since leaving Ipswich."

Aragonés was Finidi's coach during his spell at Mallorca prior to his £3.1 million move in 2001 and before that during his time at Real Betis.
