Mitchell Added to Squad - Ipswich Town News

Academy full-back Scott Mitchell has been added to the Town squad travelling to Price Park for Saturday's clash with Derby County.

Mitchell, who can also play at the centre of the defence, jarred an ankle in the reserves on Wednesday and had been expected to miss out at the weekend.

With Richard Naylor suspended, and Drissa Diallo, Chris Makin, Aidan Collins and Gerard Nash all injured, Town are short on defenders.

John McGreal looks set to replace Naylor at the centre of the defence with Mitchell likely to be on the bench as cover.

If John McGreal isn't considered fit enough to play Fabian Wilnis will probably move to centre-back with Mitchell a candidate to make his debut on the right of the back line.

Revised squad: Armstrong, Bent, Bloomfield, Bowditch, Couñago, Davis, Kuqi, Magilton, McGreal, Miller, Mitchell, Price, Richards, Santos, Westlake, Wilnis, Wright.
