Town's U19s lost 3-1 at home to Southampton's academy on Saturday morning.
The Blues welcomed back Stuart Boardley and Alfie Kamara after injuries and had much of the possession. However, they failed to turn this into goals.
Northern Irish striker Sam Morrow finally netted for Town close to the end.
