Kuqi Wants Xmas Present - Ipswich Town News

On-loan striker Shefki Kuqi says that a permanent deal with the Blues would be the perfect Christmas present. Kuqi was again impressive at the weekend as Town defeated Sheffield United 3-0.

Kuqi says: "It would be a good Christmas present if I could stay here.

"I want to play top-league football and we are definitely good enough to get promoted."

Town and Wednesday agreed a provisional deal when the striker joined the Blues on loan in September.

A reported £250,000 fee has been agreed with the Owls keen to tid themselves of his £6,000-a-week wage.

The Finnish international's 93-day loan will be up after Town's Boxing Day visit to West Ham.
