Santos Injury Concern - Ipswich Town News

Defender Georges Santos has emerged as a major injury concern ahead of Saturday's trip to Cardiff City. The former Cape Verde Islands international picked up a foot injury in the 3-0 win against Sheffield United on Saturday.

Boss Joe Royle says Santos' injury has deteriorated in recent days: "Georges took a bad knock to his foot on Saturday and it's worse than we first thought.

"He is unlikely to train until late in the week and we will have to see how he goes but at this stage he is certainly a doubt for the Cardiff game."

Midfielder Ian Westlake has a slight knee injury and missed training today, but is expected to be back in action on Thursday and will be OK for the visit to Ninian Park.
