Kuqi Deal Done - Ipswich Town News
Shefki Kuqi's permanent move to Town was agreed this evening despite a surprise late approach for the Finn from Norwich City.
The Blues and Sheffield Wednesday have been negotiating the deal throughout the week with the 27-year-old joining Town initially without a fee, the Owls receiving a bonus payment if the Blues win promotion. The final paperwork will be completed on Friday.
Norwich's unsuccessful bid for the Kosovo-born frontman looks to be an attempt to replace Darren Huckerby whose loan ends in early December.
Sheffield United and Wigan have both expressed an interest in the Manchester City striker, with Kevin Keegan's club keen to receive a fee for the former Newcastle, Coventry and Leeds player.
Kuqi has scored four goals in 11 appearances since joining Town on loan in September.
