Magilton Confident - Ipswich Town News
Skipper Jim Magilton is confident he will be fit enough to line-up against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this evening. The Northern Irishman has made a miraculous recovery from the foot injury he sustained at Cardiff on Saturday.
He told the club site: "I will see how the foot is when we are up at Nottingham but I'm confident that I will be OK.
"Our physio Dave Williams has done a fantastic job in getting the swelling down over the last day or so when it didn't look like I had much chance of making it.
"I had problems walking after the game on Saturday and the foot was grotesque the following day, but there is no ligament damage so there was always a chance I could play, although that looked a very slim one on Monday."
Should Magilton not make it Tommy Miller is almost certain to take his place in midfield.
