Joe Praise for Forest - Ipswich Town News

Town manager Joe Royle admitted that Paul Hart's Forest will have felt hard done by not to have claimed all three points from Wednesday's 1-1 draw at the City Ground.

Royle said: "Forest will feel aggrieved that they did not score in the first half when they were better than us.

"But we sorted our shape out at half-time and it was more level in the second half.

"I was just a little bit disappointed that Darren Bent did not win it for us in the second half but we'll settle for the point.

"Forest are in a false position. They are clearly much better than their position suggests and it would not surprise me if they are at the business end of the table when it matters."

Tricky Trees' boss Paul Hart praised Town's much-maligned defensive abilities: "I thought we just about deserved the win but Ipswich deserve tremendous credit. We made them defend and they did so exceptionally well.

"Ipswich are a very good side and I like to watch them play but we asked a lot of questions of them tonight and their goalkeeper had to make some fine saves.

"We didn't get the win we wanted but there was a lot for us to take from the game and, believe me, we have got a lot to look forward to."
