Canary Cash to Town? - Ipswich Town News
A Norwich City supporting millionaire says he may be willing to pour up to £5 million into Town - but only if negotiations with the Canaries break down.
Colin Davey, a businessman from the Bury St Edmunds area, has had talks with Norwich City about ploughing in £5 million into the Canaries' coffers.
However, if the discussions don't go well he says he could turn his attentions to the Blues: "I've always been a fan of Norwich City and always dreamed of buying them and one day being chairman.
"How can they turn the offer down? I'm prepared to put £5 million in. I've got a business worth £100 million, which will be sold off next year.
"I'm going to buy a football club. If not Norwich, I will have to go to Ipswich."
Town chairman David Sheepshanks refused to comment on Davey's statement.
