Defensive Trio Return? - Ipswich Town News

Town could have Georges Santos, Fabian Wilnis and Richard Naylor back in their side for Saturday's trip to Millwall. Santos and Wilnis missed the visit of Derby due to suspension and a hamstring problem, while Naylor limped off in the first half, also due to a hamstring injury.

Santos is set to reclaim his central defensive position from John McGreal, while Wilnis was close to being involved against George Burley's side.

The Dutchman is not expected to be back in training until Thursday, but is definitely in the running for involvement at the New Den.

Naylor suffered hamstring spams rather than a strain and could also return to training on Thursday. If he does so and comes through OK, he may also be in the line-up against the South Londoners.

Midfielder Chris Bart-Williams, who switched to central defence against Derby on Saturday when Naylor went off, will have to watch his step if he is going to avoid a two-match ban.

The loanee from Charlton picked up his ninth yellow card of the season against Derby. A tenth would lead to him missing two games.

Bart-Williams' 93-day loan spell with Town is up after Saturday's trip to Millwall. The Blues are hopeful of making his stay at Portman Road permanent, with a framework of an agreement already agreed with Charlton.
