Duo Heading for Boston - Ipswich Town News
Free transferred duo Chris Hogg and Matt Bloomfield are set to join Neil Thompson's Boston United on a month's loan with a view to permanent transfers.
Hogg has already spent a month at York Street and the Pilgrims are keen to secure his services on a permanent basis, finance permitting.
Bloomfield had interested Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday and may see a move to Boston as a chance to impress other clubs as well as former Blues' full-back Thompson.
Town boss Joe Royle has agreed to the loans with the players currently deciding whether they want to make the switch to Lincolnshire.
Both players were offered free transfers last month due to their chances at Portman Road looking increasingly limited.
