Bart Agrees to Stay - Ipswich Town News
Loanee midfielder Chris Bart-Williams is set to sign a deal which means he will stay with Town until the end of the season. Yesterday, Charlton agreed to allow him to leave after the 29-year-old impressed in his three-month loan spell.
Manager Joe Royle expects the fine detail to be completed today: "Chris is willing to sign and I anticipate it happening today, although I still have one or two things to tie up with his agent.
"You never like to say it's done until he has signed the contract, but I think everything will be sorted out today."
Bart-Williams will join initially on a free transfer but, as with the Shefki Kuqi deal with Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton will receive a fee should Town reach the Premiership in May.
The former Nottingham Forest player's contract at the Valley would have ended next summer.
