Elton to Play at Town - Ipswich Town News
TWTD understands that Elton John will play at Portman Road in June 2004. Town hosted Tina Turner and Status Quo in the early nineties but there have been no concerts in recent years.
The June 16th gig is part of an extensive tour by the veteran former Watford chairman, which will also take in Bristol City's Ashton Gate as well as more regular venues like Wembley Arena and the Birmingham NEC.
Portman Road is likely to pay host to 25,000 fans and should net the club a more than useful six-figure sum.
