New Academy Centre Opens - Ipswich Town News
Town are opening their eighth Academy Development Centre in Braintree this evening.
The Braintree centre will be based at the Alec Hunter School with Matt Smith, son of Town's U19 coach Ian Smith, in charge.
Tony Humes, the Academy development manager, told the club site: "Matt is already involved in the club's Development Centre at Colchester and will have a role to play at the new Centre in Braintree."
England youth coach Martin Hunter has been at Playford Road today working with the Blues' U17s and schoolboys.
Hunter has worked with England squads from U16-U21 level.
