Stewart Misses Cup Tie - Ipswich Town News
Former Town striker Marcus Stewart will miss the FA Cup tie between the Blues and Sunderland after picking up his fifth booking of the season against Nottingham Forest last week.
Stewart says he is gutted at being unable to make his first return to Portman Road: "It's bad timing, I'm devastated. It's a game I was looking forward to and it's sod's law.
"As soon as I was shown the yellow card I knew it was the Ipswich game. There's nothing I can do now but it would have been nice to go back to Portman Road; I had some good times there.
"One consolation is that we go there for a league game in April. Hopefully, nothing will happen and I'll be involved in that.
"I'm sure the lads can get a good result at Portman Road without me - a win not a replay. If we can get into the fifth round the excitement will start to build.”
